House 21 – Swansea blogging workshop and lunch

First things first – Who are House 21 and what are they all about?

Well House 21 is a female – led initiative set up in order to bring women together in order to interact and educate each other – They offer an amazing brunch at the workshops, which are to die for! They offer events up and down the UK, created for bloggers and like-minded women. I decided to take myself along to the first blogging workshop in Swansea

The event was held in The Grand Hotel, based in the centre of Swansea. There were two guest speakers, which included Emma from the EMZZY Clothing Brand and the fabulous Melanie from House 21. They both were there to share their experiences. I had a warm welcome from Saira too! This was out itinerary for the workshop.

At first, I was very nervous and apprehensive about attending the event, as I hadn’t started blogging yet. After speaking to fellow bloggers and business women I felt so relaxed and at ease. To start, Emma from EMZZY discussed her ideas when it came to creating the EMZZY Clothing Brand and the steps she needed to follow in order to kick off the business. She stated that starting a business didn’t happen overnight and there will be highs and lows throughout the journey.

Following on from EMZZY’s speech the lovely Melanie talked about how to engage with your audience, what and when is the best time to post in order to improve the level of engagement and how to implement a blog into your business. Melanie gave everyone loads of advice and I personally took a lot on-board. So much so I have started my own blog

Swansea’s first bloggers event was a massive success, it was wonderful to meet such inspiring women and I look forward to the next House 21 event.
